A Million Women is a global, interdenominational prayer movement rooted in the biblical mandate of Joel 2 and the prophetic call of Esther 4.
The founder and visionary of the movement, Lou Engle, is a vessel who has been used globally in the area of prophetic intercession for the nations. The A Million Women (AMW) International Director is Laura Allred and the AMW Africa Director is Rev. Hannah Johnson, with Apostle Isi Igenegba serving as the apostolic lead for the continent of Africa. Pearl Kupe serves as the apostolic lead for the SADC Regions, including the organisational team and Directors, Prophet Nontobeko Ndlovu, Dr Sylvia Siphugu Ravhutulu, administration lead Pastor Liza Engelbrecht, and the AMW National Co-ordinator in South Africa, Engelize de Lange.
AMW exists to call God’s people to respond rightly in moments of national and global crisis – through repentance, unity, fasting, prayer, and consecration.
This is not a church, denomination, or ministry competing for members.
A Million Women functions as a parachurch, collaborative movement, serving the wider Body of Christ by creating space for unified response to God’s call.
Throughout Scripture, when nations faced judgement, disorder, or crisis, God did not prescribe political strategy first. He called for a sacred assembly. A Million Women exists to steward that response in our generation.

Global Movement
Africa is called to gather in South Africa for a time such as this
The Lord is not only removing — He is restoring.
He is not only confronting — He is healing the land. Therefore, with great expectation and holy trembling, A Million Women calls the daughters of Africa to gather.
This is the hour of the Esthers — women who will fast, pray, and stand in the gap for their people, choosing obedience over comfort and courage over silence.
And this is the hour of the Mordecais — spiritual fathers, watchmen, and leaders who discern the times, who call forth destiny, speak truth with love, and strengthen the hearts of those who stand.
Together they rebuild the altar.
Come and stand as the Psalm 68 company of women — those who carry the good news, who do not fight with weapons, but with intercession, tears, worship, and unwavering faith.

- summoned to the secret place on behalf of our beloved continent.
- To contend for families.
- To contend for nations.
- To contend for future generations.
We will stand against division, racism, and tribalism — not with accusation, but with forgiveness. Not with anger, but with the healing love of Christ. For Africa will not be healed by arguments, but by hearts reconciled.
The Lord is weaving one family from many peoples, one song from many languages, one altar from many nations.
And as we pray, He will do what politics cannot, what policies cannot, what human strength cannot — He will turn hearts toward one another.
So come.

- Bring your oil, your tears, and your faith.
For the Lord is raising a generation of Esthers and Mordecais who will stand in the gap until the land remembers God again.
